The house was built in the late 1930's on land
purchase nearly 10 years earlier. The land had
been part of a park area known as Aquadale.
The Historic Lincoln Highway still runs in front of
the home. It had been the place to be in hot
summers to cool off in the small lakes and ponds.
Three small ponds still exist just north of our
property.
Originally, the owners built this home for
themselves and the 2 adjoining houses were built
by their sons. Unfortunately, the father only lived
for a short few years after the home was built and it
was sold to others.
There have been many updates to the home, but,
the original flavor still shines through, making this
a very enjoyable place to sit quietly in front of a
fireplace, reading one of the antique books Pat and
Mary have collected. You may play one of the
many board games as you look out the window at
the peaceful ponds. Join us for a day or for a week!
A very friendly bear to watch over the property.
All the chimneys have a different
stone design embedded in them.
A peaceful backyard.
A warm spot in
the living room.
Some more of our stone work.
